This National Program through the YMCA has been around for over 80 years and is billed by Dads as
"one of the best “unknown” Parent and Child programs."

Why the Adventure Guides Our Four Programs

  • Great program that sets the stage for you to spend time with your children doing activities that you both enjoy!

  • A program voluntarily run by Dads – so you know it must be easy (no cookies, magazines or wrapping paper to sell)

  • A program that provides a framework to meet the mutual needs of parents and children for spending enjoyable, constructive, and quality time together

  • A program that provides a lifetime of memories between a Parent and their child

We have close to 200 Dads and children participating. Within each gender/age group, there are multiple smaller groups.

Registration is Ongoing! (But you won’t want to miss out on our next Camping Trip!)

Your Time/Cost Commitment

  • Camping
  • Pinewood Derby

    and much more...You can view individual calendar of events under each age group.

  • Typically 1 meeting per month (September through June). Usually one hour in duration.

  • Rotate which Dad brings a snack and craft to the monthly meeting. Often ends up that Dad needs to bring craft/snack just once/year.

  • Each month, there is typically one major event (offered to the entire gender/age group). Attendance is optional (pay only if you plan on going), but each event is highly recommened, since you will have a great time with your child.
